By creating an account or playing Faithmap, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
Who can play
You must be at least 13 years old to hold an account. Where your country sets a higher minimum age for digital consent, that age applies. Purchasing Faith requires you to be 18 or older.
Faith and tiles are virtual items
“Faith” (the in-game currency) and the map tiles you claim are virtual items with no monetary value. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use them inside the game, not ownership, and not a financial instrument.
No cash-out, no refunds
Faith can never be converted, redeemed, or withdrawn for money or anything of monetary value, there is no cash-out, ever. Purchases of Faith are final and non-refundable except where a refund is required by law. Founders of invented religions receive a 5% tithe, paid in Faith, on claims under their banner; this is in-game currency only and likewise has no monetary value.
Accounts are personal, no selling or trading
Your account is personal to you. You may not sell, buy, rent, gift, trade, or transfer your account, your Faith, or your tiles, to anyone, for money or anything else of value, on or off Faithmap. Real-money trading of accounts or in-game items is prohibited, and we may suspend or ban accounts involved in it (on any side of the trade).
Your content
You keep responsibility for the religion names, descriptions, usernames, and other text you create, and you confirm you have the right to use them. You don't gain ownership of anything in the game. By submitting content you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, moderate, and remove it as part of operating Faithmap.
If your account is banned or Faithmap closes
If we suspend or ban your account for breaking these terms, any Faith and tiles associated with it may be forfeited. Because Faith and tiles have no monetary value, no refund or compensation is owed, except where required by law. If we discontinue Faithmap, we'll aim to give reasonable advance notice; after the service ends, Faith and tiles may stop functioning and, having no monetary value, carry no right to a refund except where the law requires one.
How you may play
Follow the Content policy. Don't cheat, exploit bugs, automate play, or interfere with other players or the service. We may remove content, hide a religion, or suspend or permanently ban accounts that break these terms or the content rules.
Availability
Faithmap isn't available in every country and may be restricted or changed at any time. The service is provided “as is,” without warranties, to the extent permitted by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. For material changes, we'll give notice, in-app or by email, before they take effect. Continuing to play after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
