Faithmap is a shared world map seen by people of every faith and nationality. These rules keep it a place anyone can play. They apply to everything a player creates, religion names and descriptions, usernames, and any other public text.

What isn't allowed

What is allowed

Original invented faiths, parody religions, and absurdist creeds that don't reference real religions or target real groups. Faithmap is abstract strategy, religions here are banners and colors, not doctrines.

Founding a religion

Every player-founded religion is reviewed by automated moderation before it appears publicly. Anything borderline is held for human review rather than guessed through. A founded faith can also be hidden later if reports or review find it breaks these rules.

Reporting

You can report any religion from its tile. Reasons include:

How fast we act

We aim to hide offending content within 4 hours and commit to acting within 24hours. When something breaks the rules, our response is simple: “That violated our rules and has been removed.” When we act, we tell you what was affected and which rule it broke, so the decision is never a mystery.

Consequences

Depending on severity we may remove content, hide a religion, or suspend or permanently ban an account. Players must be at least 13 to hold an account.

Appeals

Think we got it wrong? You can appeal any removal, hidden religion, or account action by emailing abuse@faithmap.cowithin 30 days. We review appeals promptly and restore content or reinstate accounts we acted on in error. If you're in the EU or EEA, you also keep your rights under the Digital Services Act, including out-of-court dispute settlement.
